The cellar is the real soul of Il Centro: priceless labels of inestimable value are stored here, making it a place of worship for ordinary wine lovers and the finest connoisseurs alike.

Even in the early years of his activity Pietro had already sensed the importance of offering selected wines, capable of accompanying the ever-increasing standard of the cuisine; but it was Enrico who really changed things, playing a leading role in the oenological revolution of the 1980s. He began touring the wineries to taste their wines and get to know the producers, establishing a relationship of entrepreneurial complicity with them, and this quickly helped consolidate the restaurant’s fame. The wine list was enriched with hundreds of labels, particularly from Piedmont and France. It is thanks to him that Il Centro can now boast a large number of old vintages, dating back as far as the Sixties.

For several years Giampiero has been personally in charge of the cellar, incessantly searching for labels from small producers.

Driven by an intense passion and supported by numerous international experiences in the world of wine and catering, Giampiero has succeeded in selecting references of rare excellence, focusing on the Langhe and Roero and the most important wine regions of the world: Bordeaux, Burgundy, Tuscany, Champagne, Moselle, Rhone. His undisputed talent and constant work to select excellent wines from small producers make him a reference figure.
